Imaginary Worlds

Sometimes artists are asked to provide images of their work for publications, before the work is finished. It also happens rarely that they have to provide images before the work is begun. So it is with Floating Land. Although the festival is not until next May images and descriptions are needed now for a printed catalogue.

But I am used to creating virtual works, and with just the few experimental chairs I’ve made already I’ve had a bit of fun putting together something that looks plausable using all the tricks of the trade I can. I like the results, and the interesting things is they lead you into places that you hadn’t thought about, adding another dimension to thinking about the work and the process. These are just a few of my experimental shots.
